A curious case of a fairly new Rainsong that left the factory with a poor neck set. The bridge and saddle were too low out of the gate so lowering the action at the saddle was not possible; nor was to shave the bridge.
The neck heel is bolted on but the fingerboard was glued to the top using epoxy. After heating I was able to remove it from the top and correct the angle by removing material from the heel and inserting a shim. Then, I dyed epoxy black and glued the fingerboard back on while the heel was bolted.
Finally, I shaped a new bone saddle and did a fret dressing before setting up!
