Guild D40 - Barbera Transducer Pickup Install

The top of the bridge was planed down instead of re-setting the neck.  I've noticed old Guilds can often have a bridge that is robust enough for this procedure.

A Barbera Soloist pickup was the choice we made to electrify this guitar.  The pickup also serves as the actual saddle which has a much more balanced output than a piezo pickup that lies under the saddle.  This is also a passive option as it does not need a battery or preamp to function, though, it does easily integrate with an onboard preamp.

To accommodate the Barbera, the saddle slot is filled with rosewood and re-routed.  It comes in different sizes, thickness', and radii.
