A young gentleman brought his brand new bajo quinto which had suffered a blow or two. The bridge is completely ripped off and took a good chunk of the cedar top with it. There is severe damage to the side where the output jack and battery casing is located, and there is a chip off the headstock that the customer crazy glued back on. On top of that, the customer needs it back within three-weeks because of a television gig. All of this needs to be done within a strict budget and needs to be structurally sound, so we may opt out of the headstock repair for now.
The bajo quinto has 10 strings in double courses and derives from northern mexico. It is commonly heard accompanying an accordion player.
